About the work
This painting was created with a palette knife, or at least the last layers were. The clouds formed themselves by peaking out from behind the white. This minimal landscape is all about the color of the reflected in the hazy sky. Very much based on the cloudy skies where Nicole grew up in Western PA and her fascination with fictional landscapes and worlds coming together and falling apart.
